I'm so excited to be at Lacamas Heights again this year teaching 4th grade! This is my third year teaching at Lacamas Heights. I have been teaching in both Camas and Evergreen School Districts since 2008. Lacamas Heights is near and dear to me and my family. Since moving to Camas in 2002, all three of my children learned and were nurtured by the super staff and teachers here at Lacamas. I am thrilled by the opportunity to give back that same level of professionalism and love to this community.
I have been married for 24 years to my wonderful husband and we have three children, ages 21, 18 and 14. We are an active family who enjoy the outdoors. During the summer we love to garden, hike, bike, backpack, camp and spend time on the water on our jet skis. We enjoy supporting the Camas Papermakers football team in the fall and eating in downtown Camas year-round.
I love to teach! I feel a keen sense of responsibility to teach children to think for themselves and instill a love of learning. Along with teaching higher level thinking and analyzing skills in academics I want to also teach children that they are part of a community which values growth and each individual and their contributions.
I look forward to the amazing things that will happen in Room 301 this year!
